We’re excited to share that Edi Abeneto is steppin We’re excited to share that Edi Abeneto is stepping into a new role as our Cultural & Food Security Specialist! Edi has been part of Feeding Champlain Valley for more than 20 years, beginning his journey as an Interpreter & Distribution Assistant, then serving as Distribution Coordinator, and most recently as our Food Shelf Supervisor.

Throughout his career, Edi has brought dedication, compassion, and a deep understanding of the communities we serve. In his new role, he will implement food access initiatives that support culturally responsive foods and dietary needs across the region, while helping address language, cultural, and systemic barriers.

Edi will work closely with CVOEO’s Community Ambassadors and the Office of Racial Equity & Community Inclusion (ORECI) to strengthen partnerships, improve access, and help ensure that everyone can access food with dignity and respect.

We’re incredibly grateful for Edi’s many years of service and excited to see the impact he’ll continue to make in this new chapter.
